PAWsitive Returns 🐾🤑🫰🏽
Hola mi familia!
I hate how subject lines make you guys open the mailer and also just give away what’s in store with no room for surprise. But I hope you and your fur babies (if any) aren’t melting away this summer. Which makes me wanna ask:
Market ka haal: India's domestic equity markets have been on the rise for the third consecutive week, even amidst volatile sessions! The Nifty has been consolidating in a narrow range at higher levels for the last few sessions, while broader markets have bounced back strongly, especially after a sharp recent correction.💃
While Indian markets have been on the rise, the same doesn't hold true for its Asian, American, and European counterparts as they've been reacting poorly, tracking losses on Wall Street.
What I was up to: The past week has been good to me: I had enough time to work and chill (with simbaa, hence the topic for this week’s newsletter, hehe)!
We also took the 13th episode of our podcast live, and it’s one of my favorite episodes because it addresses something many of us struggle with: productivity! When you are struggling with your career performance and mental fatigue, all you want to do is take a break! But when you return to work at the end of your break, the cycle restarts. Our guest Aditi, is a genius at addressing such issues. Watch it here:

Humara Gyaan: Having a pet is simply the best, better than all the rest! The hugs, overflowing cuteness, and the perennially food/walk-begging puppy eyes are to die for. But many people, including quite a few of my friends, shy away from having a pet stating it adds to their financial responsibility.
Getting a pet comes with its share of costs. Initially, there's a substantial upfront investment for adoption, setting up their space at home with essentials like beds and toys, and perhaps training expenses too. As time passes, budgeting for their ongoing needs such as food, entertainment, and medical care becomes essential.
While that’s true, I personally think the pros outweigh the cons. If they are an investment, they sure give you pawsitive returns, so I’m gonna try and convince you.
Beyond cuddles and playtime, pets offer the priceless gift of reduced stress levels. Studies show that pet owners often experience lower stress and anxiety, leading to potential savings on healthcare costs. Pets tend to keep you on your toes, and you are likely to be more active than you originally were.
I have also noticed pet parents become more financially responsible and focused after having a pet. Contrary to common belief, owning a pet can lead to lower healthcare costs in the long run. Pet owners are believed to spend considerably less on hospital visits and prioritize preventive care, leading to early detection of health issues and reduced medical expenses. That said, you can’t put a price tag on happiness now, can you?

Animals make great friends - they don’t ask questions, they don’t boggle you with soul-crushing criticism, they teach you how to love unconditionally! The love and joy pets bring transcend monetary gains. But that’s the animal lover in me talking. So, like any other area you spend/invest on do the math before making a decison and think twice before bringing another living being into your home.
Let’s keep reaping pawsitive returns!
