Ingenious Ways To Socialize Without Spending 🤝🥳
Hello!!
Firstly, I am so sorry for not writing to you last week! Too much was happening and the “I don’t even want to lift a finger” phase after Diwali was not of any help. But, I want to make it up to you with tips on thrifty ways to have fun, and I’m sure this will be useful after going all-out with spending on gifts, clothes, and sweets over the festive season.
So let's get to it!
Market ka haal: Even in the market's rollercoaster ride, the total market capitalization of all BSE-listed stocks reached a record high of Rs 328.33 lakh crore, or $3.94 trillion, by the end of Thursday's trading session. To touch the $4 trillion mark, India needs to add just about Rs 5 lakh crore to its market cap. With significant events on the horizon, the market might dance a bit, so it's wise to have a long-term investment mindset to sail through any storms that may come our way. 📈💰
Meanwhile, the RBI decided to load personal loans with a bit more weight, bumping up risk weights by 25% due to concerns about the growing risk of these loans. Unsecured loans, constituting 23%, stand out compared to the average of 12% to 14%. This shift has led to a dip in household savings to multi-year lows and a notable surge in borrowing. 💸🌟
What I was up to: During Diwali, there was a lull at work and none of us felt like working :( So we're trying to find our rhythm back at work and we're on a full-on planning spree, strategizing for 2024. If you know me well, you know how much I love Excel sheets and find solace in planning! Although the stress of compiling details and perfecting ideas was tedious, it was more or less work at wonderland for me!

Humara Gyaan: Socializing is fun! It's great, it's important, but that said, it is also a pricey affair that often leaves your bank accounts unhappy. Clubbing, fine dining, going to the movies, trips, and concerts are absolutely lovely but can take a fair chunk out of your pocket. So here are three pocket-friendly ways to chill and have a great time with your friends:
1. Movie Night At Home 🍿🎬
Skip the crowded cinemas and create your own movie night magic at home. Each friend picks a favorite film, and you rotate through the selections. Add some homemade popcorn, comfy blankets, and perhaps some themed snacks. You've got a cinema experience without the ticket prices.
2. Potluck Party 😋🍕🥘🍛🍴
Most of us eat when we meet friends or vice versa! Eating out can be quite expensive, but that doesn't mean you have to let go of all the fun! Organize a potluck party at home where each friend brings a dish, to have a diverse feast without having to cook and/or spend all by yourself! By all means, make it a BYOB potluck if you're feeling scandalous!
3. Outdoor Art 🖌🎨🧺
Pick a scenic lake, park, beach, or a even a hike near you and invite your friends for an outdoor art jamming picnic. Whether you're a seasoned artist or a stick-figure enthusiast, this is all about having fun and I’m sure you’ll have lots of it, especially if you don’t have to spend much!
In a world that often seems to value expensive outings, we're here to show you that having a blast with your pals doesn't have to drain your wallet.
The best memories are often made in the simplest moments. Enjoy your thrifty adventures with friends!Until next time,
Sayali ❤️
